Hi I'm Eleen,

I am a Yoga Therapist and Yin Yoga teacher who is fascinated by the simple act of graceful breathing. We breathe to survive, but beyond that, we breathe for good health. Breathing in counting 1 2 3. Breathing out counting 1 2 3 4. Manipulating the breath to sustain the daily demands of work and pleasure, without burning out too quickly.

Having mindfulness and a sense of direction when breathing serves us well as it helps maintain a happy mind and body. It has been a habitual practice of mine that has come in handy plenty of times. As a Yoga Therapist and Yin Yoga teacher, my responsibility is to share the value of Yoga, especially the simple yet effective breathing techniques that can help greatly in empowering overall quality of life and health.

WHY HEALING BREATH YOGA?

Being mindful and having a sense of purpose when breathing helps maintain a happy mind and body. This is a great skill to pass on to children who struggle to stay focused when engaging in a conversation without being distracted, complete a task as requested or be able to express whatever is in their mind.

Yoga and mindfulness can support children in the area of sensory processing such as being comfortable and confident with things, people, environment, movements, sensations, and interactions that are happening around and within them. Besides assisting them with their social skills and fine motor development, the ability to self-regulate is crucial as they navigate the world which tends to be too complicated for these children to comprehend and respond.

Here at Healing Breath Yoga, you can find Yoga Therapy for special needs children. We offer an Emotional Intelligence and Wellness program to schools as well, catering to children who struggle in the mainstream Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Program.

CLASS VIA ZOOM

Online classes are available every Wednesday from 7-8:15 PM AEST. The focus will be on releasing tension & tightness in muscles & joints, especially the hip joints & lower back. Mindful and intentional breathing will promote deep relaxation, easing the body & mind.

WELLNESS PROGRAM
FOR SCHOOLS

This wellness program can assist children who struggle in coping with the mainstream education system. It is taught by using yoga activities, yoga storybooks, music and dance to make the learning of social, emotional and interpersonal skills fun and easy to understand.
